It was a very strong final, a real final with the first two pigeons reaching the velocity of 957 mpm, after flying a distance of 500 km, from east to west, from Ukraine. Released at 7.45 in the morning the first two pigeons arrived at 16.27, Jan Hooymans winning the first prize and Reijnen Loft the second. After 2 minutes, another 2 pigeons arrived, Jan Hooymans taking third place and Alistair Hogg taking fourth place. It was the first time in this OLR history when a Dutch pigeon won the first place in the final, but what a victory, with the first three places won by Dutch pigeons, and with 6 Dutch pigeons in the first 14!
