It has been six years since New Freddy won the title of 1st National Ace Pigeon Longer Middle Distance KBDB. He was then transferred to the lofts of the PIPA Elite Center, where he bred an endless number of highly successful descendants. His impressive list of references continued to grow in 2016 as well.
Prize winner in tough conditions
BE09-5052387 New Freddy comes from the outstanding breeding pair Antigoon x ‘t Krijt of F&J Vandenheede (Zingem, BE) from his father’s side; he comes from De Limoges from his mother’s side, the top class breeder of De Rauw-Sablon. New Freddy became a rewowned racing bird at the age of one, winning many top results for Pierre Mathijs (Hamont-Achel, BE), and eventually winning a national ace pigeon title as well:
1st Provincial Bourges 1,499 p. (10th National 17,138 p.) 1st Provincial Argenton 1,133 p. 3rd Provicinal Châteauroux 1,962 p. (9th Interprovincial 9,026 p.) 6th Provincial Gien 2,245 p.
He won four top prizes in a single season, which is quite an achievement. Keep in mind his home loft in Hamont-Achel is located to the far north of the Belgian province of Limburg, which means he had to cover a much longer distance. He actually won his 1st Provincial from Bourges and Argenton in a strong north-northeasterly wind. It goes without saying that these two results caught the attention of pigeon fanciers across the country. One of them was Bart Geerinckx, who obtained 50% of the ownership rights of New Freddy some time ago.

Golden eggs
Six years after his national ace pigeon title it has become obvious that New Freddy is capable of breeding highly talented youngsters time and time again. New Freddy has only six brothers and sisters, and only about ten pigeon lofts in Europe are privileged to have direct youngsters of New Freddy in their collection. This means the number of references for New Freddy is rather limited. But his list of references is all about quality, not about quantity. In 2016 alone his descendants have won several provincial, zonal and national top prizes (only top-25 included):
1st National Zone Blois 2016 1,768 p. (Geerinckx Bart) – youngsters New Freddy 1st Provincial Blois 2016 1,680 p. (Jespers-Vanderwegen) – grandchild 1st Provincial Blois 2016 1,930 p.
